I write about health issues in my role as CEO of World Obesity Federation and in my personal capacity, building on over 20 years of work in global health with a focus on non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and control, including leadership roles with World Heart Federation, NCD Alliance, and American Cancer Society. 

I also serve on expert groups and boards for the World Health Organization, World Economic Forum, City University of London’s Centre for Food Policy, Geneva Centre for Security Policy, and GO2 Foundation. My experience includes comments, op-eds, and journal articles on global health, the patient experience, and problems of narrative in The Lancet, British Medical Journal, The Telegraph (UK), Nature, and World Health Organization Bulletin, among others.  I am a citizen of the US  and Sweden.
